My two adult cats have a scratching post and an old chair I sacrificed to them because they have left my other furniture alone (sofa, etc.), however I just bought new upholstered dining room chairs in chenile fabric and they were drawn right to them. Thought I would give this product a shot and sprayed all chairs.. They do not seem to mind the smell (if they can smell anything), but there has been no further evidence of pulled threads. I've just re-applied the spray after a couple of days to keep the effect going - whatever it is. Is seems to work - my fingers are crossed.
